Lore Lay | "Lust for Life"
Concrete is a modern and at the same time archaic building material.
I am interested in the human body as a three-dimensional sculpture and as a two-dimensional drawing.
The sculptures are cast in concrete and are first modeled in clay.
Drawings and pictures are created more spontaneously
and capture the moment or the movement. The whole
whole body is involved. Modeling and painting is physical
work.
The human body accompanies us throughout our lives, it changes and moves. It limits physical existence and at the same time it enables freedom and development.
It is the place of joy of life, pleasure or pain.
